This last one made up for the previous two. " I actually liked the ending of this series. " Book ended up making me angry, I should have just put it down when I was give the chance. Good thing Roland and Jake saved his life in that accident he had so he could finish the series. Now i have to go an read all of his other books that tie into it somehow. " An interesting ending to a great series. It was a fitting finale, and all the signs were already there. " loved this book dont know why it took me sooo long to pick it up and read !!! " - Danni, In the end, King manages to bring it all together into as much of a close as you can hope for in a series with such a rambling and epic scope. " As in book 6, some of the material is unnecessary or irritating, but there are also countless stunning and perfectly crafted moments. " What - no six star option?! Best ending to a series of books I have ever read. I highly recommend these books, they don't disappoint. This has NEVER happened to me before! I feel as though I have been on a great journey. " Who cries while reading a book? This chick right here. Be engrossed, enthralled, in love with every moment of the lives of some of the best characters ever created. if you need some orgasmic ending that bad than you are exactly what the message of this series is referring to. Roland's death in an epic battle? Everyone returning from the grave to be a big happy ka-tet again? There was no other way around this story than self examination. The people hating the ending want that finale that eclipses all else. That is what I wanted out of this series all along. The best part of this epic literary piece of genius is that he made us love and hate and cry along with and be angry at and root for so many different wonderful characters. rushing through every day, blindly, towards some end goal and then when it is reached the entire journey is forgotten. The ending and the tragic message that goes along with it is undoubtedly one of the worst human conditions. " I just now finished this breathtakingly epic series and I leave it with nothing but respect. " !!!!I can't even begin to say how much I liked this book!A really beautiful ending, heartbreaking and dark with glimpses of hope and light. This was the perfect ending in my opinion and it left me flabbergasted.I keep wondering if Roland will finally make it to the real essence of the tower.Or it is not simply his ka? I am sure someday he will find true salvation. At this point I feel like Suzanne betrayed Roland and the spirit of ka-tet when she decided to leave Roland to finish his journey alone. While the other members of the ka-tet were true to their goal and gave their lives to it she just abandoned the cause.I am a little pissed-of!On the other hand the chapter Suzanne in New York was really touching and romantic. After having completed the series I am a little sad that this journey has ended but I am glad I have made it and enjoyed it.Respects to Sai King!!!!! " - Lena, " At first I was dissapointed with the ending, but the longer it's been since I read it the more I have come to appreciate it and realise it couldn't have been done any other way. I don't think i would ever read this series again. but i do feel like it made sense for this story. The ending was interesting, and a little fucked up. But by the middle i was already invested in the characters, by the end i was crying for certain things, and was able to actually really understand the language. " These books are just crazy! It's so complicated to decide how I feel about them. A perfect ending to Stephen King's epic story. I recall the first time reading it I was angry with the author for the ending, but every reading since I've enjoyed it more and more. The emotions that the characters feel towards eachother after this much time and experience together is very strong. " Reading this series to the end still make my eyes water. " Flag, really? After all of that? Disappointment. The ending is a complete surprise and absolutely perfect! George Guidall is a fantastic narrator of this book.
Start at book number one (the gunslinger) and listen or read them all. King's Opus Magnum and many of his other books owe it's origin to this masterpiece. " The Dark Tower, written by Stephen King and narrated by George Guidall is the last book in the Gun Slinger series. " Best Stephen King ending yet! Don't start with this one.
If you are a TRUE fan of Sai King, find another related tale in the epic tv mini-series 'Kingdom Hospital'. What I will add, is that beside the fact King took so long to finish the series, and seemed to rush it, finally, was partly due to his being hit by a van while jogging. " I will not try to add to any previous reviews.
